Réka Piroska Molnár

Architect, lead designer, interior designer and founder of Holttér was born in Budapest 1975.

In 1997, she obtained General Engineering (DEUG) degree at the Francophone Section of the Budapest University of Technology (BME). She graduated from the BME, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Graphics and Form with a Graduation Project Award in 2001. She continued her professional career for 15 years at Mérték Studió, one of the leading architectural design studios of the era, where she participated in large-scale projects, restricted design tenders and listed building renovations as a designer and co-designer. Between 2002-2004, she attended the Master school’s (ÉME Mesteriskola) MCVII.th cycle, a two-year postgraduate course in architecture operated by the Hungarian Master Architect Association (ÉME). After that, she became a member of the Association of the Hungarian Architects (MÉSZ) and as well as of the Chamber of Hungarian Architects (MÉK). Over the next decade, she took on smaller projects and concentrated on motherhood, giving birth to 4 children. The year 2016 brought a change of direction: she took on managing the priority development projects of the Gyula Forster National Centre for Cultural Heritage Management until the cessation of the organisation. She then returned to architecture and started working independently. In 2019, she founded Holttér, her own studio in Budapest.
