Project description National tender for the reconstruction of public buildings and spaces to create a new urban community space and urban fabric. Concept: ‘Man-made order’ to redefine the hectic, disorganised and disconnected exterior-interior spaces and public functions of the socialist era.
Our aim is to seize the potential of the dynamic surface-shaping, inherent in the site. To involve people in the flow, through the play of sweeping curved lines, the plasticity of light and shade effects and the spatial relationships organised along axes. Our main ambition is to make each unit part of a larger ensemble, opening up to its surroundings, for the people who live here and for the visitors as well.
To achieve this, we have used the tools of medieval and baroque architecture already present in the built environment of the established heritage area. In the massing transformations, we created a differentiation of emphasis along the axes (axes), to create visual tension for exploration from the given pedestrian and vehicular perspectives.
Perspective, contrasts and dynamism were emphasized in the spatial structure of the garden.
